My name is Koen Zwikstra (aka coolio in various development forums), I am a software developer focusing on .NET technologies. I live in The Netherlands in the city The Hague (nicely located near the beach that is). I predominantly code in C# although I have been doing a fair amount of JScript development as well.

Lately I have become a fan of all things Silverlight. The Silverlight projects on this site demonstrate what I have accomplished so far in that area.

This site hosts some of my personal pet projects and this is the place where I share my thoughts with the rest of world. The name First Floor because I started this site when I lived on the first floor. In the meantime I have moved to the third floor, but I couldn't be bothered to get myself a new domain name.

First Floor is powered by Graffiti CMS, a simple yet powerful Content Management System created by the good folks of Telligent. Flexible, great architecture and they provide a free edition as well. If you are maintaining a small website, this may just be the CMS for you. I simply love it, content editing as it is supposed to be.

My hosting provider is Brinkster and SQL Server is used to store all content.
